Advance booking reports show a big difference between Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Kantara: Chapter 1, even when looking only at the Hindi versions. Both films are set to release soon, but early ticket sales suggest that Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has a tougher task attracting audiences.

Uttarakhand stood out with 21% occupancy, generating Rs 3.44 lakh. Other states like Tamil Nadu, Haryana, and Jammu & Kashmir saw a moderate response. Smaller regions like the Andaman and Nicobar Islands recorded Rs 14.89k at 3% occupancy, showing niche interest.
Kantara Chapter 1 Advance Booking Report
SSKTK is failing to match Kantara Chapter even in Hindi as this pan-India release is creating much more buzz. The Kannada version alone earned Rs 5.46 crore from 151,796 tickets sold in 1,465 shows. Its Hindi version also performed better than SSKT. It collected Rs 96.45 lakh by selling 32,779 tickets across 4,377 shows. Tamil and Malayalam versions added extra revenue, showing the film’s strong multi-language appeal.
Across India, Kantara Chapter 1 collected Rs 6.87 crore from 2,09,199 tickets across 7,390 shows, excluding block seats. With block seats, the total jumped to Rs 11.42 crore, reflecting high demand for premium tickets. Karnataka led with Rs 5.16 crore at 37% occupancy. Kerala and Maharashtra followed with Rs 36.2 lakh and Rs 56.08 lakh, though occupancy was lower. Even smaller territories like the Andaman and Nicobar Islands saw 26% occupancy, showing dedicated audience interest.
Film | Language | Gross (Rs) | Tickets Sold | Shows |
---|---|---|---|---|
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari | Hindi | 61.55 lakh (1.39 crore incl. block seats) | 15,458 | 2,236 |
Kantara Chapter 1 | Hindi | 96.45 lakh | 32,779 | 4,377 |
The gap in advance bookings shows the challenge for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. While it has some regional interest, its Hindi bookings are far lower than Kantara Chapter 1. Despite strong promotions, word-of-mouth and marketing are not reflected in pre-sales results. Only a big jump in ticket sales can help the romantic comedy compete with the popular mythological action drama.
