Malaika married Arbaaz Khan in 1998 at the age of 25. Four years later, they welcomed their son Arhaan. After 18 years of marriage, the couple decided to part ways in 2016 and finalised their divorce a year later. Arbaaz has since remarried, but fans often wonder if Malaika is open to marriage again.
In a recent interview, Malaika reflected on the decision to marry young. She said to Pinkvilla, “I would have said, ‘Take your time to get married.’ I would have told my younger self that, definitely. It is (a huge commitment)… itni jaldi shaadi karne ki zaroorat nahi hai. Thoda bohot kaam karlo, thoda understand karlo life ki journey and then take that plunge – which I was… very young when I got married.”

When asked about finding love again, Malaika’s answer caught attention. She said, “Never say never. Like I said, I’m a hardcore romantic. I believe in love. I believe in all things about love. So, never say never.”
This statement has raised curiosity, especially after her recent split with Arjun Kapoor. Many feel that the actress is planning to marry in the near future.

Malaika and Arjun were in a relationship for almost six years. Their bond often made headlines, sometimes for their age gap and sometimes for the trolling they faced online. However, the couple called it quits last year. During one of the promotional events, Arjun publicly confirmed the breakup and said, “Abhi single hoon main, relax.”
While the breakup surprised many, Malaika’s belief in love shows she has not closed her heart to new possibilities.

Malaika also addressed the negativity she faces on social media. She revealed that being called “budhiya” is especially hurtful. She said, “For me, ‘buddhiya’… I mean, how can you even say something like that to somebody? Kabhi kabhi ye trigger karta hai, because bahut hi insensitive hai.”
She added that while people see her as strong and glamorous, they often overlook her struggles. “They see only that (brave) persona. They will see ‘khush lag rahi hai’ (she is looking happy), but they do not realise that there are so many things that can actually trigger you, upset you.”
Meanwhile, buzz is that Malaika will perform a dance number in Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming film Thama. However, official confirmation is still awaited.
