Akshay Kumar announces the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru with Radhika Madan; reveals the release date

Akshay Kumar is undoubtedly one of the most beloved actors in Bollywood, known for his acting prowess and humble demeanor. He never fails to entertain his fans with back-to-back releases throughout the year, and his dedicated fan following eagerly waits for his films to hit the big screen. Akshay is also quite active on social media and keeps his fans updated about his personal and professional life. Recently, the actor unveiled the poster of his upcoming film with Radhika Madan, which is a Hindi remake of the Tamil film 'Soorarai Pottru' that starred Suriya and Aparna Balamurali in the lead.

Akshay took to his Instagram handle to share the poster of his upcoming film and wrote, "We are ready for take off! Production No. 27 (Untitled) releases in theatres worldwide on 1st September, 2023."

Fans are already excited to see Akshay and Radhika on the big screen. The Tamil version of the film was helmed by Sudha Kongara, who will also be directing the Hindi remake. The original film was co-produced by Oscar winner Guneet Monga and Suriya, which was a massive commercial success.

Work Front

Apart from the Hindi remake of 'Soorarai Pottru,' Akshay has a slew of other films in the pipeline. He was last seen in 'Selfiee' alongside Emraan Hashmi and will next be seen in 'OMG 2' with Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi. He is also set to appear in 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' alongside Tiger Shroff and 'Hera Pheri 3' with Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty. Additionally, he will be making his Marathi debut with 'Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat' and is a part of the film 'Capsule Gill,' which also stars Parineeti Chopra.
