After Kartik Aryan’s break up with Karan Johar and Dharma Productions, particularly Karan Johar, has been a social media sizzler all week when the actor was reportedly ‘dropped out’ owing to unprofessional behavior. While Kartik published no official statement in the matter, sources claimed that the reason for this bitterness was ‘creative differences’ from the actor’s side and unprofessionalism as per the production house. He apparently had even completed the shoot for some 20 odd days and the next schedule was supposed to start in mid-2021 due to Covid-19 restriction
Now, the latest buzz is that the people at Dharma Productions want to save the ship from sinking, hence the recasting is in full tow. Akshay Kumar has been requested to join the cast and ensure that the movie is a success. “(Filmmaker) Karan Johar has personally requested Akshay to come on board Dostana 2 and help him out, as lots of money has already been invested in the shoot of the film. So, in all likelihood, Akshay will join the cast”, the report claims.
Dostana 2 is apparently a story of a brother-sister duo who falls for the same guy. The movie also stars Janhvi Kapoor and newcomer Laksh Lalwani. Let’s see when the official announcement is rolled out and we finally get to know who is playing the lead role
