Karan Johar: Filmmaker Karan Johar hosted a grand dinner at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on Monday. Some of the top Bollywood celebrities joined him for the dinner. They included Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora and rumoured couple Ananya Panday and Aditya Roy Kapur. Filmmakers Rohit Dhawan with wife, Ayan Mukerji and Aarti Shetty were also spotted.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia looked cute together as they twinned in white. While Ranbir wore a white shirt and denims, Alia wore a white dress. She smiled as the paparazzi clicked them outside Karan Johar’s house.
This was Alia’s first outing with Ranbir in the city after her return from the MET Gala. Alia wore a white gown with 1 lakh pearls to make her debut appearance world’s biggest annual fashion nite in New York.
Aditya, Ananya arrive in separate car
In contrast, Aditya Roy Kapur and Ananya Panday twinned in black. However, they arrived in separate cars. The two are quite often seen together on outings in the city.
Malaika and Arjun chose contrasting colours for the dinner. Arjun was dressed in black while Malaika wore a sleeveless white tee. They recently returned from their vacation in Germany. Ayan Mukerji was also spotted in a white tee.
Alia’s second film with Ranveer
Alia will make her next appearance in Karan Johar’s upcoming directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. This will be her and Ranveer Singh’s second film together after their 2019 film Gully Boy. It also stars Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan. It will release in theatres on July 28.
Ayan Mukerji’s presence at Karan Johar was a surprise. There were rumours of a fallout between the two. Unconfirmed reports said that Ayan Mukerji was not making Brahmastra 2 and 3 under Karan’s banner Dharma Productions as the two installments were postponed.
