In Wayanad, rescue crews from the Indian Army, NDRF, and local emergency services are working nonstop in difficult circumstances. Their goal is to locate survivors who have become entrapped in the rubble.
Recently, on Saturday, August 3, megastar Mohanlal—who is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Territorial Army—visited Wayanad. Before visiting the impacted areas, Mohanlal met with officers while wearing his army uniform. He has continuously demonstrated his dedication to service since being awarded this honorary title in 2009, offering assistance in times of need like these.
As the sixth day of rescue operations approaches, the number of casualties in Wayanad keeps rising. Over 360 people have died as a result of the July 30th tragic landslides. With heavy machinery at their disposal, about 1,300 rescuers are working to free the remaining people who are trapped.
