Megastar has joined the Bollywood brigade that consists of those who have received first shot against covid-19 vaccine. The information was shared by the superstar via a late night tweet on Thursday. “Got it done! My Covid vaccination this afternoon,” tweeted Mr Bachchan. Sharing a health update of sorts, he added, “All well.”
This comes after subtle hints that the superstar has been dropping about receiving covid jabs. In one of his blog posts, he had written, “The vaccination has become mandatory and soon there shall be the conditioning for yours truly to be one such in queue.”
Big B had contracted the virus last year and was admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital for the treatment along with his son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
The actor has been facing several difficulties on the health front for quite some time now. In the recent past, he had undergone eye surgeries twice, one in February and the other one in March. . “A wonderful world… to see what was being missed till now… the colours and shapes and sizes… a life-changing experience,” the 78-year-old wrote after his cataract surgeries.
Meanwhile, on the acting front, Big B has a number of projects lined up for the year. He will star as a football coach in the upcoming sports drama, Jhund. He will also be seen in crime thriller Chehre, which has been postponed indefinitely in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. He will also be seen in Ayan Mukerji directorial Brahmastra which features Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in lead roles.
