Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan to attend Kolkata International Film Festival as guest of honor

Amitabh Bachchan: Looks like this is the season of film festivals as celebrities are celebrating back-to-back film festival across the globe. Recently, B-Town celebrities attended Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Dubai. Few of them will be the part of 28^th Kolkata International Film Festival. The 28^th edition of KIFF will be organized on December 25 and conclude on December 22, 2022. This film festival will witness the screening of different movies and documentaries across the world.

Amitabh Bachchan and SRK will be guests of Honour

Amitabh Bachchan and wife Jaya Bachchan will attend the film festival on the first day. He will inaugurate the prestigious film festival. He will be the guest of honor alongside Shah Rukh Khan at Kolkata International Film Festival. A total of 1078 films from 57 different countries have applied for screening but only 183 films are selected from 42 countries to be screened across 215 shows on 10 venues. Big B and SRK will be the primary guests at the film festival. Along with them, Jaya Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Kumar Sanu, Mahesh Bhatt and Shatrughan Sinha will also join the KIFF as guest.

The inaugural film to be screened at the film festival will be Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Abhimaan.

About KIFF

For those who don’t know, the 28^th edition of the Kolkata Film Festival will be held nearly 8 months after the previous edition of the fest. The annual event was not held in 2020 and 2021 due to strict restrictions during Covid-19 pandemic.
