Anurag Kahyap recalls refusing collab with Sushant Singh Rajput three weeks before his death; Details Here

Sushant Singh Rajput was one of Bollywood’s most brilliant actors. Unfortunately, he died in the year 2020. The young actor was reportedly discovered hanging in his Bandra residence. Many people were taken aback by his untimely death. Anurag Kashyap, the filmmaker of Gangs of Wasseypur, recently spoke about an incident involving Sushant Singh Rajput in a recent interview. The filmmaker admitted that he feels guilty since he declined to speak with the actor when he tried to contact him a few weeks before his death.

Sushant Singh Rajput has ghosted him for major productions

Anurag Kashyap discussed this episode with Showsha, stating that someone on behalf of Sushant Singh Rajput attempted to contact him three weeks before the actor’s death. However, he declined to speak with the actor, claiming that Sushant has previously ghosted him for major productions. Anurag Kashyap disclosed all of this while discussing Abhay Deol. The filmmaker had previously spoken about Abhay Deol and did not have many kind things to say about him. They collaborated on Dev D. So, in an interview with Showsha, Anurag Kashyap claimed that following the Sushant Singh Rajput incident, he attempted to contact Abhay Deol and apologies to him.

According to Anurag Kashyap, he has realized that he does not need to tell everything. He went on to say, “For example, consider my altercation with Abhay. Someone was writing an essay on why a great actor like Abhay is no longer in the movies, and I mentioned something that happened 13 years ago. I didn’t have to express it in public.”

Anurag Kahyap on SSR

Anurag Kashyap went on to say of Sushant Singh Rajput, “And I felt terrible the day SSR’s awful demise occurred. Three weeks prior to that somebody was trying to contact out because he wanted to talk, and I was like, ‘No, he ghosted me, I don’t want to talk’. You experience remorse sensations. So I sought to contact Abhay and apologized to him, because someone had told me that he was furious that I had spoken publicly about him.”
