Astronaut Teaser: BTS’ Jin Promises A Visual Spectacle Before Military Enlistment, Check Out

Astronaut Teaser: The fans of K-pop boyband BTS are in for a treat. Jin, the lead vocalist of the group, has dropped the much-anticipated teaser of ‘Astronaut’. The 29-year-old is scheduled to enlist for military by the end of this year. As announced by their managing company HYBE, each member of BTS is set to release their individuals projects before their enlistment. Astronaut is Jin’s first solo collaboration with Coldplay, while BTS has previously collaborated with the band on My Universe.

Astronaut Teaser Out

The teaser of Astronaut was released on October 26 (KST). The thirty-eight-second-long video shows Jin sitting in the middle of a deserted place while a spaceship has been set on fire nearby. The singer can be seen indulge in deep thoughts as he sits on a huge rock in solidarity. Nevertheless, his visuals are breathtaking and the teaser appears to be just a sneak peek into a masterpiece that is yet to be unraveled tomorrow. Here, take a look:

Jin Military Enlistment

Jin is currently in Argentina to perform Astronaut with Coldplay. The song would be his parting gift to ARMY as he is set to enlist for military next month. After years of debate and discussion over BTS’ military enlistment, Hybe, in a statement last week stated BTS will serve in mandatory military service. Jin being the oldest member will be the first to enlist.

“All other members will also serve mandatory military duty according to their plans,” Hybe said in a regulatory filing.

The label tweeted a statement on Monday saying “it’s the perfect time, and the members of BTS are honoured to serve”.

“Group member Jin will initiate the process as soon as his schedule for his solo release is concluded at the end of October. He will then follow the enlistment procedure of the South Korean government,” it said. “Other members of the group plan to carry out their military service based on their individual plans.”

Astronaut will be out on October 27.
