Ayushmann Khurrana's father, astrologer P Khurrana dies in Mohali due to heart-related problems

Actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Apartshakti Khurrana''s father, P Khurana passed away on Friday morning. His last rites will be performed at Manimarja cremation ground in Chandigarh at 5:30 PM today. P Khurana was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali and was undergoing treatment for the past two days for heart-related problems. 

Ayushmann Khurrana’s father dies 

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana and Aaprshakti Khurrana’s father P Khurana passed away on Friday morning. As per PTC, he was battling heart disease and was undergoing treatment at Fortis Hospital, Mohali for the same. His funeral will take place at Manimajra cremation ground in Chandigarh at 5:30 pm today.

Family releases statement 

It read, "It’s with our deep sadness to inform that Ayushmann and Aparshakti Khurana’s father, Astrologer P Khurana passed away this morning at 10:30am in Mohali, owing to a prolonged incurable ailment. We are indebted for all your prayers and support during this time of personal loss”.

Ayushmann Khurrana shared a warm bond with his father. He also revealed that it was his father who suggested he add an extra 'n' to his name. Speaking to Hindustan Times about his father, Ayushmann had shared, "I don’t believe in astrology, but my father has been my life coach and mentor. He always used to tell me ‘beta public ki nabz pakdo’ (Catch people’s pulse) and I just did that."

P Khurana was known for his knowledge of astrology. Based in Chandigarh, his popularity ascended to northwest India. Using his knowledge of the subject, he also went on to pen several books on astrology.
