Baby John Advance Bookings: Can Varun Dhawan’s Action Thriller Compete With Allu Arjun's Juggernaut Pushpa 2?

Baby John Advance Bookings: The advance booking fever is on with the advance bookings for Varun Dhawan’s Christmas release open. However, the big question on everyone’s mind now is whether Varun Dhawan can go head to head with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2. Baby John Advance Bookings: Varun Dhawan Sold Over ₹36 lakh Tickets

Baby John advance bookings are open now and the first day numbers for the Varun Dhawan starrer are in. As reported by Sacnilk, Baby John's Hindi version has sold over ₹36 lakh worth of tickets on its first day, including block seats. About the distribution of those tickets, Delhi managed to top the list with ₹10.21 lakh worth of advance tickets sold. Following Delhi is Maharashtra, with ₹7.73 lakh worth of ticket sales. Furthermore, if we remove block seats, the film has done a total business of ₹18.68 lakh tickets by selling 5279 tickets across 2549 shows.

Can Varun Dhawan’s Baby John Compete With Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2?

Looking at the numbers put up by both films. Varun Dhawan seems to be no sloucher. Throughout the film’s promotional run, it has managed to attract big crowds and filled venues with overjoyed fans. Whether it is a trailer on YouTube, a song release event or anything else. Baby John has backed its hype with numbers. However, the film it is being compared to at the moment has reached heights that are only rivaled by a few. Within three weeks of its release Pushpa 2 has managed to gross over ₹1500 crores worldwide and broken numerous box office records. The film starring Rashmika Mandanna and Allu Arjun has not only dominated the domestic market but has also made waves internationally. 

And, when put against each other, the first day numbers of the film show a clear disparity in the two. As per data from Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 managed to sell over 12 lakh tickets on its first dat of advance bookings, just for the Hindi version. However, there can still be an argument in the Hindi version of the film, depending on how the film performs on the second day of advance bookings.

Baby John Marks The First Pairing Of Varun Dhawan and Atlee Kumar 

After his last theatrical release with Shah Rukh Khan, Atlee Kumar is coming back with Baby John. Although the famed director is limited to being the writer of the film, he has been actively participating in the film’s promotions. Directed by Kalees, Baby John features Varun Dhawan in the titular role along with Keerthy Suresh making her Hindi film debut, Wamiqa Gabbi, Zara Zyanna and Jackie Shroff.
