Barbie Trailer: Take a peep inside the Barbie world. Warner Bros released a new trailer of the film Barbie offering a glimpse of Greta Gerwig’s summer tentpole in which Barbie and Ken enter a new color-drenched world with a peppy plot.
Barbie movie is inspired by the Mattel line of dolls which debuted in the market in 1959. Margot Robbie stars as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken in the move that releases in theaters on July 21, 2023. The cast ensemble of the movie also includes Simu Liu, Alexandra Shipp, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Hari Nef, Scot Evans, Kate McKinnon, and Issa Rae.
On a soul-searching journey
In the new Barbie trailer, all is well in a colorful Barbie Land. She and Ken begin their soul searching journey and explore the modern world which is quite different from their pink haven. After a run in with a man on Venice Beach, they end up in the police lock up.
Soon, strange things start happening to Barbie as she starts getting less and less Barbie-like. What comes as shock is Barbie’s flat feet. Barbie’s heels are flat instead of constantly having her heels arched and raised in the air.
‘Love or hate Barbie, this movie is for you’
We see all kinds of gags about Barbie and Ken dealing with the real world, their fashion sense, them getting arrested. They have difficulty understanding that they’re world-famous toys and not everyone is so keen on them anymore.
The video trailer says, ‘If you love Barbie, this movie is for you. If you hate Barbie, this movie is for you’,. The new trailer certainly promises comedy and adventure as Barbie goes onto the real world. The clip also utilizes the classic Barbie Girl song in the final seconds; however it remains unclear whether the song will be used in the movie itself.
