Salman Khan is gearing up for one of the most challenging roles of his career with Battle of Galwan. The superstar will play Colonel B Santosh Babu, the brave officer who led Indian soldiers during the 2020 Galwan Valley clash. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the war drama also stars Chitrangda Singh in a lead role.

The actor is currently shooting in Ladakh, and the extreme conditions have made the process even tougher. In an exclusive chat with India Today, Salman said, “It’s slow. I’m not feeling it yet. But I will especially, I feel the cold water, that’s for sure. I am definitely feeling it since shooting in Ladakh.”

Salman Khan Undergoes Physical Transformation For Battle of Galwan

To look and feel like an Indian Army officer, Salman has made major changes to his routine. He has completely given up alcohol, junk food and fizzy drinks, and reduced carbs from his diet. His workout plan includes weight training, cardio, and breathing exercises to prepare for the high-altitude conditions in Ladakh.

Reports suggest Salman also trains in a specially installed high-pressure chamber at his home gym before heading to Leh. A personal trainer is helping him stick to a strict fitness regime to stay in top shape for the film.

First Look Of Battle Of Galwan Was Revealed Recently

The first poster of Battle of Galwan recently went viral. It showed Salman with a rugged moustache, bruises, and a bloodied face, giving fans a glimpse of his intense transformation for the role.

Salman’s last film, Sikandar, failed miserably due to several reasons. While the film didn't click with audiences, it fell victim to online negativity and piracy scandal. Despite this, it managed to cross Rs 100 cr easily due to actor's star power. After the flop, Salman met with his fans and took their feedback. Now, this Galwan Valley film is hoped to be his big comeback.
