Beyonce shatters all-time records at Grammy Awards 2023, becomes most-decorated artist in the show’s history

Grammy Awards 2023: On Sunday’s Grammy Awards ceremony, pop sensation Beyoncé made history as the artist with the most career wins at the awards show. The singer took home three awards: Best Dance-Electronic Music Recording with “Break My Soul,” (Renaissance album), Best Traditional R&B Performance with “Plastic Off The Sofa,” and Best R&B Song for “Cuff It.” This brings Beyoncé’s total Grammy wins to 32 throughout her career.

Beyonce breaks all-time record at Grammy Awards 2023

Until now, the record was held by Hungarian-British conductor Georg Solti, who won 31 Grammys since 1997. Beyoncé already holds the title of the female artist with the most Grammy wins. While accepting her award for Renaissance, Beyonce said, “I’d like to thank the queer community for your love and for inventing the genre.”

She continued further and said, “I want to thank God for protecting me… I’d like to thank my uncle Johnny who is not here but he is here in spirit…”She added, “I’d like to thank my parents, my father, my mother, for loving me, for pushing me. I’d like to thank my beautiful husband, and my beautiful children who are watching at home.”

After Beyonce won the award, the host Trevor Noah exclaimed, “It’s done. It’s officially done.” At the Grammy Awards 2023, a number of artists were honoured for their contributions to music.

Who else won big at the Grammy Awards 2023?

Three of the biggest prizes, Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year, were split among Harry Styles, Lizzo, and Bonnie Raitt. The award distribution, which aimed to recognize the talents of multiple musicians, was carried out by the Recording Academy. In addition to these artists, Adele, Bad Bunny, and Willie Nelson were among the notable musicians who were awarded during the prime-time broadcast.
