About Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan’s Horror Comedy
Bhooth Bangla follows Vasudev Acharya (Akshay Kumar), who travels from London to rural Mangalpur after his grandfather’s death. What starts as a family visit soon turns into a supernatural mystery tied to a cursed mansion and the legend of Vadhusur.
DON'T MISS
The film features a strong ensemble cast including Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Wamiqa Gabbi and Mithila Palkar. Their reunion with Akshay Kumar adds both comedy and emotional depth to the horror-comedy setup.
The film is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films with an estimated budget of Rs 120 crore. Reports suggest a major portion of the budget went to Akshay Kumar’s fee, while other actors were paid comparatively lower amounts.
With a steady start and midweek support, Bhooth Bangla still has a chance to improve its lifetime run. However, its final performance will depend on how well it holds in the coming weekends against competing releases.
