Bigg Boss 16: It was in the last ‘weekend ka vaar’ episode, when Salman Khan along with the housemates mentioned on how they think that Sumbul Touqeer is obsessed with Shalin Bhanot and somehow doesn’t like the relationship between Tina and Shalin. She was even bashed for this obsessive behaviour and asked to either confess her feelings or maintain a distance. To this, Sumbul denied such claims and said that she just considers Shalin as his good friend and there is nothing more than that.
Later the two even decided to keep a distance as it wasn’t looking good on the camera.
Later, what came in as a surprise was when Sumbul was called into the confession room and was asked to speak to her father on Call, as he was not feeling well. And it is during that phone conversation that Sumbul’s father said, “Shalin Aur Tina ko unki aukaad dikha doh”.
Not just that, he even went on to abuse Tina Datta on National Television. This obviously didn’t go down well with a lot of individuals, especially Tina datta’s mother and Shalin’s Father, and they further reacted.
Tina Datta’s Mother gets emotional and slams Sumbul’s Father
Tina Datta’s mother posted a video on her Daughter’s Instagram handle and said if it was okay for any parent to degrade someone’s child on National Television. She bashed him for talking about ‘aukat’ and abusing her daughter.

On the other hand, the comments made by Sumbul’s father did not go down well with Shalin’s father and in one of his recent interviews he went on to say, “Is this the way people speak on national television? Making unjustified offensive comments on national television, against other participants is very, very cheap! Sumbul is an adult, either you shouldn’t have sent her on the show and if you have then no outside guidance should be allowed as per the format. This is unacceptable!”
He also went on to point out how such abusive language and comments were not edited and removed from the Final Cut.
