Bigg Boss 16: Shalin Bhanot is one such contestant of this season who has received the maximum amount of bashing from the show's host. Sometimes for his bonding with Sumbul Touqeer and then for his nature and behaviour towards the other housemates. While his bond with Tina Datta became a topic of discussion, and at times the show's host has schooled him for that as well! Now a piece of information (From the Pandemic time) is going viral about Shalin which is, that he was working with an NGO and was secretly working for the Sex Workers of Mumbai, at a time when no else one did!

Shalin Bhanot helped the Sex Workers during COVID

With the second wave and emergence of Covid-19, 2021 was a bad year for a lot of individuals. While there were people who came out and supported the needy who really needed help during the Pandemic. And few of them even decided to stay away from the media and continued to do these gestures unconditionally. Shalin Bhanot helped the sex workers living in Mumbai’s oldest red-light area and came out for those who were incapable of paying their bills.

In one of his old Interviews, the Bigg Boss 16 contestant has revealed on how during the time of Pandemic, sex workers had to sell their bodies for Rs 50 to get food and further feed their children and had no masks or sanitisation products to keep their family safe.
Knowing these facts, the actor collaborated with an NGO and gave Ration as well as Masks to 100 families living in the Kamathipura area.

He further opted to stay away from the Limelight and not speak much about the gesture.
While Salman Khan has often been seen schooling Shalin Bhanot for his behaviour and the fact that he lacks humanity, but the outside world has a different take on that.
