Bigg Boss 19 is already making headlines before its premiere. The contestant list is still under wraps, but rumours are coming in fast. Two new names have now caught everyone’s attention – Anupamaa actress Nidhi Shah and model Arbaz Patel.
Nidhi Shah Approached For Bigg Boss 19?
According to a source quoted by News 18, “Nidhi Shah has been approached by the makers, but it has not been confirmed if she has indeed agreed to do the show.” If she signs the dotted line, fans could be in for a big surprise.
Born in Mumbai, Nidhi Shah started acting young. She made her debut in 2011 with the web series That’s So Awesome. She then appeared in films like Mere Dad Ki Maruti and Phata Poster Nikhla Hero.
In 2016, she entered television with Jaana Na Dil Se Door. Over the years, she worked in shows like Tu Aashiqui, Kavach… Mahashivratri, and Kartik Purnima.
Her big break came in 2020 when she played Kinjal Dave Shah in Anupamaa. The role of a smart, independent daughter-in-law made her a household name. Nidhi has often called the character “an extension” of herself. She left the show in late 2024 after a generation leap in the storyline.
Before Nidhi, other Anupamaa actors like Gaurav Khanna and Sudhanshu Pandey were linked to Bigg Boss 19. Sudhanshu denied the rumours, while Gaurav has stayed silent.
Arbaz Patel To Also Join?
Fresh reports suggest Arbaz Patel (model, influencer, and Nikki Tamboli’s boyfriend) could also be in this season. Arbaz became popular on Splitsvilla X5, where his looks, height, and charm took him to the finals.
In 2023, he joined Bigg Boss Marathi 5 and impressed viewers with his strategy and wit. Host Riteish Deshmukh even praised his leadership. He was eliminated in week eight and called his eviction “unfair.”
Bigg Boss 19 Theme And Promo
The makers have revealed this season’s theme as Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar. For the first time, housemates will get to make all the decisions. But as Salman Khan warns, power comes with consequences.
In a recently-released promo, he says, “Bigg Boss ka har season alag hota hai, lekin iss baar toh scene hi palat gaya hai… This season, they’ll try to run the house their way but, when things go out of control, you know who’s coming back to set the record straight.”
Meanwhile, Bigg Boss 19 is set for a grand premiere on August 24.
