Bigg Boss 19 Fame Gaurav Khanna ANGRY On Being Called Khairati Winner, Colors Ka Damaad – ‘Have Worked Hard, Wasn’t There To Please…’

Bigg Boss 19 winner Gaurav Khanna responds to trolls calling him ‘Khairati winner’ and ‘Colors ka Damaad’, saying he won through hard work, not fame. Check!

Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 19 ended on December 7, 2025, with Gaurav Khanna winning the season. His fans cheered, but not everyone agreed it was fair. Some co-contestants and trolls said he won because of his fame and TV background. Many called him a “Khairati winner” and “Colors ka Damaad.”

Gaurav has now spoken out against these claims.

Gaurav Khanna On Winning Bigg Boss 19

In an interview with Faridoon Shahryar, Gaurav addressed the rumours linking his win to popularity. He said, “People say I won because I am famous, but I have really worked hard. Twenty years of hard work is no mean feat. I have not been a Colors face for the last 15 years. My last show on Colors TV was Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam with Yami Gautam, which aired in 2010.”

He added, “So, if in 2025 people still think I am a Colors face after doing just one show with them 15 years ago, I must be really great then. There are no free lunches; I won’t just win a show because of my pedigree or body of work, I also have to perform well in it.”

He further shared that the show was more about learning than competing. Gaurav said, “I never went there to compete with others. Being a part of television for so many years, I know people will target you on Bigg Boss, they will shame you, defame you and try to pull you down. But my entire aim was to become a better person. My life has been the sum of my choices. Bigg Boss is a very intelligent game if you play it intelligently. I kept that in mind from day one; I wasn’t there to please those 15–16 people.”

Gaurav’s Journey Inside The Show

Gaurav’s win was unusual. He avoided unnecessary fights and rivalries. In the first weeks, Salman Khan criticised him for being low-profile. But by week four, Gaurav started speaking up while managing relationships smartly. His strategy worked. He reached the top two and won, defeating Farhana Bhatt and taking home the Rs 50 lakh prize.

After Bigg Boss 19, Gaurav Khanna made news for reports of his re-entry in Anupamaa. He has also started a YouTube channel with help from Mridul Tiwari and Pranit More.
