Ram Kapoor, one of Indian television’s most-loved actors, has finally spoken up about the Bigg Boss 19 rumours. Social media has been buzzing with claims that the Kasamh Se and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain star would be part of the upcoming season. But Kapoor, known for his strong opinions, has shut down all speculations in his signature candid style.
During his chat with Filmibeat, Ram said, “I will never ever come in Bigg Boss even if they offer me 20 crore because that kind of show is not for me. That doesn't mean it's a bad show, I know it's a very very successful show. My point is, I consider myself an actor. These kind of shows although they are very successful but they are just voyeurism.”
He further added, “Bigg Boss or any kind of reality show, you are not showing any talent, it's just voyeurism. It's just people liking to see other people's life. That's fine. It's not for me. I am a very private person. I would be the worst person for Bigg Boss.” Kapoor made it clear he wants to focus on acting, not reality TV.
Ram Kapoor Shuts Down Bigg Boss 19 Rumours
Kapoor’s name often pops up when Bigg Boss casting rumours swirl. But this time, he didn’t leave space for doubt. He said, “So I am not coming to Bigg Boss 19, I will never come to Bigg Boss because reality shows are not for me.”
His refusal comes at a time when fans were guessing names for the upcoming season. Bigg Boss 19 is reportedly set to premiere in August 2025, and rumours suggest this season’s theme could be “Rewind.” Reports claim the popular secret room twist will return, and for the first time, contestants won’t be able to vote each other out.
Ram Kapoor's Recent Controversy On Mistry Set
While Bigg Boss talks may be put to rest, Kapoor has been in the news for other reasons. The actor recently starred in Mistry, a web series inspired by the American show Monk, where he played detective Aryan Mistry solving gripping murder cases.
But off-screen, things got messy. Ram Kapoor reportedly made inappropriate jokes on set, spoke about sex positions, and even about kissing a male crew member, leaving the team uncomfortable. He was then pulled from the show’s promotions. Later, he apologised and said his actions were part of his “bindaas” nature.
