Bigg Boss 19 is already generating buzz, and the latest name being linked to the show is none other than Telugu playback singer and Indian Idol 5 winner Sreerama Chandra. If reports are to be believed, the singer is all set to enter the Bigg Boss house this season.
According to the popular Instagram page Bigg Boss Khabri, which often shares inside scoops about the show, Sreerama is “almost confirmed” for the upcoming season. While the makers haven’t revealed the official list yet, this update has already caught the attention of his fans and reality TV followers alike.
About Sreerama Chandra
Born on 19 January 1991 in Addanki, Andhra Pradesh, Sreerama Chandra Mynampati is a trained Carnatic singer who began his playback career in 2008. He first gained popularity through shows like Okkare and Sye Singers Challenge on ETV. But his major breakthrough came in 2010 when he won Indian Idol 5, charming audiences nationwide with his voice and personality.
Since then, Sreerama has sung for several Telugu films and made his acting debut in 2013 with Jagadguru Adi Shankara. In 2021, he joined Bigg Boss Telugu 5 and finished as the second runner-up. He later hosted the first season of Telugu Indian Idol in 2022 and took the lead in the Aha original Papam Pasivadu in 2023.
He also won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer (Telugu) for “O Rendu Prema Meghaalila” from Baby.
What To Expect From Bigg Boss 19
Bigg Boss 19 is expected to premiere on the weekend of 29 or 30 August 2025. As per reports, this could be the longest season yet, lasting up to four or five months. The makers are aiming for a digital-first format, with episodes streaming on JioCinema about 90 minutes before their telecast on Colors TV.
This season also brings in a fresh hosting twist. Salman Khan will host the first three months. After that, Karan Johar, Farah Khan, and Anil Kapoor are expected to step in as rotating hosts. To boost audience engagement, new elements like audience-led nominations and a secret room are also being planned.
The show is likely to start with 15 contestants, with 3 to 5 wild cards entering later. Some of the rumoured names include Apoorva Mukhija, Mr Faisu, Ram Kapoor, Munmun Dutta, Dheeraj Dhoopar, and Krishna Shroff.
