Bigg Boss 19: Why Did Kunickaa Sadanand Ditch Her Law Career? Actress Married 13 Year Older Man At 18, Know Her Life Struggles

Bigg Boss 19 contestant Kunickaa Sadanand left her law career to pursue acting amid personal struggles, heartbreaks, and custody battles. Read to know details!

Actress Kunickaa Sadanand is currently grabbing attention in the Bigg Boss 19 house. In a recent episode, her son appeared on the show to cheer her and defend her against Farhana Bhatt, who called her a “flop actress.” Even host Salman Khan was moved to tears hearing her story.

Kunickaa’s choice to leave her law career wasn’t easy. It came after years of heartbreak, custody battles, and the pull of her true passion (acting).

Why Did Kunickaa Sadanand Ditch Her Law Career?

Although she qualified as an advocate and was involved in social causes, Kunickaa moved away from law for personal reasons.

Theatre was her first love, and she started acting on television in Delhi and later moved to Mumbai for Bollywood. At 28, she made her film debut with Kabrastan, proving it’s never too late to follow your dreams.

Two failed marriages and an eight-year custody battle for her son left lasting scars. She eventually gave up custody for her child’s well-being. Managing family crisis alongside a legal career became too overwhelming, leading her to find comfort in acting and activism.

Advocacy work was meaningful but emotionally draining. Motivational speaking and social work became outlets for healing while still making a difference.

Bigg Boss 19 Contestant’s Life Struggles

Kunickaa married at 18 to a man 13 years older. She struggled with joint family life and divorced within three years. The custody battle over her son lasted eight years (the hardest period of her life).

Later relationships brought more challenges. She had a live-in with Sunil Sikand (Pran’s son) and a second marriage in the US, which ended amicably, teaching her lessons in heartbreak and adjustment.

Her relationship with singer Kumar Sanu also attracted media attention. She supported him emotionally, managed finances, and almost became his de facto wife while he was still married. The relationship ended due to his infidelity.

After her second divorce, Kunickaa found peace raising her second son alone.

In the new season, Kunicka is among 17 Contestants battling for the trophy. She was the first one to become captain, but was later removed from the position due to housemates voting against her. Two weeks have passed, and there’s still no elimination in Bigg Boss 19. Shehnaaz Gill’s brother, Shehbaz Badesha, has entered as the first wildcard contestant.
