BLACKPINK Jennie in The Idol: Jennie, a BLACKPINK member will make her acting debut in The Idol, which also stars The Weeknd. Lily Rose Depp, among others, appears in the HBO series. The first trailer for the show, featuring a bird's-eye view of Jennie, was recently released. The second trailer has finally given us a good look at Jennie, the actor. In the series, she is presented as 'Jennie Ruby Jane,' which is her Christian name.

According to the trailer, Jennie appears to be portraying a grey role in the show. She is seen wearing a black suit and her hair is tied freely, creating quite a sight. Fans of BLACKPINK and Jennie have already been excited with the trailer, which focuses on Jennie's diverse colours. Fans have already begun to speculate on Jennie's participation, and the hashtag has been trending.

About Show 'The Idol'

The Weeknd, Reza Fahim, and Sam Levinson conceived the upcoming HBO series 'The Idol.' The series will focus on the music industry's behind-the-scenes. The show will star Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd in the lead roles as a self-help guru and head of a modern-day cult who falls into a tumultuous relationship with a rising pop idol. Many celebrities will appear in supporting roles, including Suzanna Son, Troye Sivan, Moses Sumney, Jane Adams, Dan Levy, Jennie Ruby Jane, Eli Roth, Rachel Sennott, Hari Nef, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Mike Dean, Ramsey, and Hank Azaria.

Meanwhile, on August 19, BLACKPINK launched their pre-release single, Pink Venom. BORN PINK, their second full-length album, will be released in September.
