The much-awaited world tour of BLACKPINK has been hit by a massive ticket scam just weeks before its big launch. The K-pop girl group is set to begin their Deadline World Tour on July 5, but a major fraud has shocked fans and authorities alike.

A man in his 30s has been arrested in Seoul for selling fake BLACKPINK concert tickets worth nearly Rs 48 lakh (around 80 million KRW). Over 500 fans were tricked into buying these counterfeit tickets through a second-hand trading platform.

Ticket Scam Exposes Fan Risks Ahead Of BLACKPINK Tour

The suspect, referred to as “Mr A,” was caught on June 17 while attempting to sell fake tickets at a café in Dongjak-gu. Seoul’s Dongjak Police Station confirmed the arrest a day later. Officers were tipped off and closely monitored him before making the bust.

What gave him away were spelling errors and clear tampering on the tickets. Police later confirmed with the official ticketing site that the passes were fake. Mr A had already managed to sell over 500 tickets, making a profit of Rs 48 lakh. Investigators are now checking if he worked alone or was part of a larger scam operation.

Authorities have warned fans to avoid buying tickets from unverified sellers. They’re also checking if the suspect was involved in other similar frauds. The case has triggered strong reactions across social media, with fans urging each other to stay alert.

Deadline World Tour Still On, Starts July 5

Despite the chaos, BLACKPINK’s tour will begin as planned. The group members (Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé) are all set to perform their first show at Goyang Stadium in South Korea. It’s their first tour in nearly two years, and fans around the world are excited.

The Deadline World Tour includes stops in the US, UK, France, Spain, Indonesia, Thailand, and more. It will wrap up in January 2026 in Hong Kong. Ticket sales are booming, and BLACKPINK is expected to draw huge crowds across all venues.
