Bollywood career not on cards: MS Dhoni

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is an Indian sensation whose success is enormous to be put into words. He announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15, 2020. However, he continued to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Now, the star cricketer hinted at his farewell game with Chennai Super Kings. Like many others, it was speculated that the cricketer may try his hands in acting. Since it is not new for cricketers to enter into the entertainment world, this seemed like a feasible option for the former captain.

The cricketer recently got candid about his plans and apparently Bollywood is not one of them.

He said, “You know Bollywood is not really my cup of tea. As far as advertisements are concerned, I am happy to do them. When it comes to movies, I feel it’s a very tough profession and very difficult to manage. I would let the film stars do it because they are really good at it. I will stick to cricket. The closest I can come to acting is advertisements and nothing more than that.”

Meanwhile, former India all-rounder Harbhajan Singh made his acting debut with the Tamil film, Friendship. Previously, cricketers like Brett Lee, Ajay Jadeja, Vinod Kambali have also tried their hand at acting in the past.
