While some tied the knot in the presence of close friends and family, some opted for the Big Fat wedding celebrations and shared their joy with their fans on social media. From Farhan Akhtar-Shibani Dandekar, Mouni Roy Suraj Nambiar to Ranbir Kapoor Alia Bhatt, Richa Chadha Ali Fazal, they all chose marital bliss.

Alia Bhatt – Ranbir Kapoor
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor exchanged vows in a private ceremony on Thursday, April 14. They dated for five years before tying the knot. The most talked about wedding took place at Ranbir Kapoor’s sprawling home and was attended by family members and close friends of the couple. Their wedding-day pictures and videos were shared online. The couple is now parents to a lovely daughter, Raha Kapoor who was born on November 6.
Farhan Akhtar – Shibani Dandekar
Actor-director Farhan Akhtar dated singer-artist Shibani Dandekar for many years post his divorce from his first wife. The couple took their relationship to the next level and exchanged vows in a simple ceremony on February 17 at Javed Akhtar’s Khandala farmhouse. It was a Christian wedding for them and was attended by Bollywood celebs like Hrithik Roshan, Farah Khan, Shabana Azmi, Anusha Dandekar, Meiyang Chang, Gaurav Kapoor, Samir Kochchar, Monica Dogra, Ritesh Sidhwani, Rhea Chakraborty and Rakesh Roshan. They shared pictures on Instagram.
Mouni Roy – Suraj Nambiar
Actor Mouni Roy and beau Suraj Nambiar tied the knot on January 27 in Goa. The Brahmastra actor who also acted in the soap opera Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi chose traditional Bengali and Malayali style wedding. The Meet Brothers – Manmeet & Harmeet Singh, along with Aamna Sharif, Mandira Bedi, Arjun Bijlani and family members were all there in full attendance.
Richa Chadha – Ali Fazal
Actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal dated for seven years before Fazal proposed to her in 2019. They got married in three different cities: Mumbai, Lucknow and Delhi. The actor later released a statement that they had been married for 2.5 years and are currently celebrating their wedding with family and friends.
Nayanthara – Vignesh Shivan
Tamil superstar Nayanthara and her beau filmmaker Vignesh Shivan tied the knot on June 9. They were in relation since 2015 since the Tamil flick Naanum Rowdy Dhaan days. They had a big fat wedding at Mahabalipuram’s Sheraton Park in Chennai. Shah Rukh Khan, Rajinikanth and many other celebs attended the wedding. The couple are parents to twin sons whom they welcomed through surrogacy.
Hansika Motwani – Suhael Kathuria
The recent wedding of Hansika Motwani and Suhael Kathuria was much publicised. The couple exchanged vows on December 4 at a lavish ceremony at Jaipur’s Mundota Fort and Palace in the presence of their families and friends. The lavish destination wedding festivities created a buzz on the internet.
