Bollywood’s Veteran Actor Mithun Chakraborty’s Mother passes away, details here

Mithun Chakraborty: Bollywood’s beloved actor, suffered a heavy loss as his mother Shantirani Devi passed away on July 6th. The news was confirmed by his son Namshi Chakraborty. Three years ago the actor lost his father too. BJP’s Agnimitra Paul and TMC’s spokesperson Kunal Ghosh also offered their condolences. Many celebrities from Tollywood also came to offer their heartiest condolences on social media platforms to the grieving family. 

A look at Mithun da’s celebrated film career 

Mithun Chakraborty has seen many ups and downs in his career. Even after being one of the most unsuccessful Bollywood actors with across 180 flop films, he is loved by all and is still called a star because he also starred in 50 hit films. The actor has shared about his early days as an actor when he used to live with his parents and siblings in Jorabagan, Kolkata. After finding success as an actor, he took his parents to live with him in Mumbai. The actor spoke about the ideals his parents taught him and how it helped him in his career many times. 

His upcoming endeavors 

Currently, Mithun Chakraborty is occupied with the shooting of ‘Dance Bangla Dance Season 12’. He also appeared in the season 2 of Dance Dance junior. He might share the screen with Abir Chaterjee soon in the upcoming movie Kabuliwala which is set to release around christmas this year. Several actors have played the iconic role of Kabuliwala before Mithun Chakraborty, it will be fun to watch his take on the role. Like many actors even Mithun was also offered the role of Thakur Bhanu Pratap in Suryavansham but he rejected it. The actor has done over 300 films till now which includes 180 flop films. Mithun Chakraborty is amongst the most unsuccessful Bollywood actors, the list also includes other veteran actors like Rishi Kapoor and Dharmendra with 76 and 99 flop films respectively.
