Pavan Malhotra and Aamir Bashir starrer ’72 Hoorain’ is all set to release in theaters nationwide on 7th July. The filmmakers announced this on Sunday (June 04) by launching the teaser of the film. This film is directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan and its story is based on terrorism.

Need to identify the main base of terrorism: Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan
Talking about the film, the director of the film Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan said that ’72 Hoorain’ talks about the need to identify the main base of terrorism and how the mind is being manipulated. He stated, “The slow poisoning of the mind by perpetrators turns ordinary individuals into suicide bombers. Let us remember that even the bombers themselves, with families like ours, have fallen victim to the twisted beliefs and brainwashing of terrorist leaders. Trapped in a deadly illusion of 72 virgins, they embark on a path of destruction, ultimately meeting a gruesome fate.”
In 2019, ’72 Hoorain’ premiered under the Indian Panorama section at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. Also, in 2021 Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan was awarded the National Film Award for Best Director for this film.
Gulab Singh Tanwar, Ashoke Pandit opens up on ’72 Hoorain’
Producer Gulab Singh Tanwar also talked about the film. He has said that ’72 Hoorain’ is a great story which shows how innocent people are lured and turned into ruthless terrorists in the name of religion. Co-producer Ashoke Pandit has requested the spectators to watch the film with a clear mind. He said, “The movie will definitely make you ponder upon certain beliefs prevailing in the society and how they are a mere figment of imagination. It will make you think about the concepts and ideologies that are not even close to reality in any way, and how they are merely used to brainwash people to mould them into terrorists in the name of jihad.”
