Even at 68, Sunny Deol has received praise for his performance. His action scenes look effortless, and his powerful voice continues to give audiences goosebumps.

Suniel Shetty Hasn’t Watched The Film Yet

While theatres are packed, Suniel Shetty has made a surprising choice. The actor (who played Assistant Commandant Bhairon Singh Rathore in the 1997 film Border) has not watched the sequel yet. This is despite the fact that his son (Ahan Shetty) plays an important role in Border 2.

Suniel attended the premiere to support Ahan but chose to stay outside the theatre. His wife Mana Shetty, daughter Athiya Shetty and son-in-law KL Rahul watched the film inside, while Suniel met people and greeted well-wishers.

Speaking to Mid-day, Suniel said, “I sat outside the theatre for three and a half hours, meeting people and soaking in all the compliments.” He then revealed the reason behind his decision.

Explaining his vow, Suniel shared, “I had said from day one that I wouldn’t watch ‘Border 2’ until it crossed a worldwide collection of Rs 500 crore. I had kept a mannat for Ahan. So far, I haven’t watched a single frame. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not about arrogance.”

He also expressed confidence in the film and his son’s performance and said, “I am hoping it will cross Rs 500 crore. Many loved Border 2. Everybody who has watched the film has appreciated Ahan’s work. I am happy that after Dhurandhar, another Hindi movie has worked brilliantly.”

Suniel added that once the milestone is achieved, he plans to watch the film with his family and the cast.
