While the figures are encouraging for a film of this scale, Border 2 could not surpass the opening-day record of Gadar 2. Sunny Deol’s 2023 blockbuster had opened at Rs 40.1 crore, leaving Border 2 about 25% behind, despite enjoying the advantage of being a sequel.
