The makers of Border 2 are doing everything possible to touch hearts before the film’s release. Titled “Jaate Hue Lamhon”, the song will be unveiled during Lohri 2026, adding an emotional and festive flavour to the celebrations.
Starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, Border 2 is a tribute to the Indian armed forces. The film draws inspiration from real-life events and salutes the bravery of Indian Army soldiers, Air Force officers and Naval personnel. With its strong patriotic theme and grand scale, the film has already created excitement among audiences.
Border 2 Song ‘Jaate Hue Lamhon’ Launch Details
“Jaate Hue Lamhon” is a recreated version of the iconic song from the 1997 classic Border. Originally sung by Roopkumar Rathod, the song is remembered for its deep emotion and lasting impact. In Border 2, the track returns with a fresh sound while keeping its soulful feel intact.
The song will be launched on January 12 or 13 at a special event in Khasa, Amritsar. What makes this launch unique is the audience. The makers plan to unveil the song in front of 10,000 to 12,000 army personnel and their families. The event will take place during Lohri, blending patriotism, emotion and Punjabi tradition in one powerful moment.
Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty are expected to be present at the event along with the film’s team. The original version of “Jaate Hue Lamhon” was picturised on Suniel Shetty and Sharbani Mukerji, which makes the recreation even more special for fans of the original Border.
Varun Dhawan’s Emotional Moment With A Soldier’s Family
As promotions for Border 2 continue, Varun Dhawan recently shared a touching moment that caught attention online. In the film, Varun plays Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, a brave Indian Army officer and Param Vir Chakra awardee who fought in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War.
Ahead of the release, a video showed Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya’s wife blessing Varun at a pre-release event. She smiled warmly, touched his head, and praised his performance. She said, “Tumne bahot badhiya kiya hai. Bahot badhiya, shabbash! Film bahot achi chalegi (You have done a great job, Very good, bravo! Film is going to do really well).” The video went viral, showing Varun bending down and thanking her.
