BTS' encounters with Saesang fans: Jungkook, RM latest victims

South Korean boy band BTS is one of the most popular K-pop groups across the world. They have fans who dream about meeting them, or the least, seeing them. BTS love their fans and have the utmost respect and dedication for them. However, their fans, known as ARMY, tend to go overboard at times, disrespecting their personal boundaries and invading their persona space. Recently, BTS member Jungkook opened about the same after some fans flocked outside his gym.

These are usually saesang fans. Saesang in Korean means personal and Saesang fans are those who doesn't respect personal space.

Jungkook says 'I was going home but...'

During his last livestream on Weverse, Jungkook said that he was about to head home when he saw fans outside his gym. “I finished working out, and I had to go home. That time when we did that live broadcast. It was about 20 minutes or 30 minutes… 20 minutes before going home, and I turned on the live stream.  I was going to go home, but there were people there. I’m really thankful for the interest you show me, but this was not an official schedule (I went to). So you know.” Jungkook added, I am human too.

RM's privacy invaded

Recently, it was reported that BTS leader RM’s privacy was invaded. It was recently revealed that his personal information including phone number and addresses was misused about 20 times. A female railway employee has reportedly accused his information about 18 times to get his whereabouts and find a seat next to him when he was travelling. The employee was looking after the IT development and she had the authority to access customer’s personal data.

The employee had received RM’s personal details in 2018 and has been using it since then. Following the incident, BTS’s agency Big Hit issued a statement saying it will verify the details and will protect RM and other members privacy.
