BTS Suga: BTS Suga aka Min Yoongi has been making headlines these days because of his drunk driving case. A few days ago, news broke that the BTS member was driving the electric kickboard at night while being drunk which can result in possible revocation of his license. According to a report by a Korean media outlet, the Blood Alcohol level of the K-pop idol was more than 7 times the legal limit. BTS Suga fell at his door while parking his electric vehicle which led the nearby police personnel to run a breathalyzer test.
BTS SUGA's Blood Alcohol Level and Legal Limit
The legal limit for alcohol consumption is 0.03%, set by the South Korean government. According to a report, Yongsan Police Station measured Suga's alcohol level at 0.227% which is nearly 7 times higher than the accepted limit. Earlier, Suga mentioned that he just had 1 glass of beer that night.
The punishment for excessive alcohol consumption varies at different levels in South Korea. The penalty for a Blood Alcohol Level up to 0.08% is either 2 years of prison or a fine of 10 million KRW which is nearly, $7290. Suga's level of alcohol consumption comes under extreme conditions, in which the punishment is either 2-5 years of jail sentence or a fine between 10-20 million KRW ($14000). The revocation of BTS Suga's license is still under the hands of Yongsan Police Station. BigHit Music hasn't said anything about the alcohol issue.

Before this, BTS member Suga took to Weverse and apologised for his careless conduct. He wrote, 'Hello, this is Suga. I come to you with a heavy heart, deeply apologetic for disappointing you all. After drinking at dinner last night, I decided to ride home on my electric kickboard. I violated traffic laws without realizing that using an electric kickboard while drunk was not allowed, thinking it was a short distance away.'
He explained his situation of that night and concluded his note with 'I apologize to everyone hurt by my careless actions. I will be more cautious in the future to avoid such incidents.'
His company, BigHit also made a statement about the incident and said, 'We apologize for the disappointment caused by this inappropriate behavior. As a social service worker, he will receive suitable disciplinary action from his employer. We will ensure this does not happen again in the future. Thank you.'
