Famous for her versatile performances, Kareena is preparing for her role in “Singham Again” after the success of her last film, “Crew.” Though Rohit Shetty’s films are action-packed, Kareena assures fans that her character and Deepika Padukone’s will be powerful and important. In an interview with Variety, she emphasised the characters’ richness despite the film’s predominately male cast.

A Shift in Narrative

The box office performance of “Crew” surprised a lot of people, dispelling the myth that films with strong female leads can’t bring in a lot of money. Kareena conveyed her appreciation for the resounding response that the movie received from families and women, suggesting that stories featuring women are becoming increasingly mainstream.

The Promise of “Singham Again”

Though “Singham Again” seems like a standard Rohit Shetty action film, Kareena says her and Deepika’s parts will be more than just glamorous. She said, “There is Deepika and me in the film, where we have very strong parts. But obviously it will be really different, it is the big ticket Bollywood bonanza for this year, and I’m sure people will enjoy that.”

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Upcoming Projects

Apart from “Singham Again,” Kareena is working on several other projects. Her next film appearance will be in Hansal Mehta’s “The Buckingham Murders,” in which she plays a mother as well as an investigator. By working with Ekta Kapoor to co-produce the movie, Kareena has gone above and beyond in this endeavour. The film’s release date is still pending, despite its MAMI Mumbai Film Festival premiere last year.
