Mumbai-born Sameera made her screen debut in the melodic "Aur Ahista" by Pankaj Udhas in 1998, and then again in the heartfelt "Tere Aane Ki Jab Khabar Mehke" by Jagjit Singh in 2000. In the romantic action film "Maine Dil Tujhko Diya," costarring Sohail Khan, she made her Bollywood debut in 2002.

Throughout the 2000s, Sameera starred in a number of Hindi films, costarring with well-known actors including Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar. Among her well-known motion pictures are "Musafir," "Taxi Number 9211," "Race," and "De Dana Dan." She also experimented with South Indian film, exhibiting her abilities in Telugu and Kannada productions.
