KC Shiv Shankar, famous cartoonist, has passed away. Shankar made cartoons in the popular magazine Chandamama. His art which matched the storyline left a place in the heart of all Indians during their childhood.

Vikram Betal's stories and cartoons featured in the Chandamama magazine are well known. His demise left the social media in sorrow. As soon as the news of his death came on social media, people started remembering his magazines and missing their childhood. From the 60s to the 90s, almost everyone has grown up reading this magazine.

He is also known as Chandamama. He contributed to the field of art for over 50 years. As soon as this sad news came, social media started paying tribute to him.

Shiv Shankar was born in 1927. He was into art from very young age, thus he won the hearts of school teachers.

Sivasankar had shared his journey how he became part of the magazine, “I was hired by Nagi Reddi in 1952 and he always shared in his interviews that Chithra (another artist) and Sankar are the two bullocks of Chandamama.”
