Vicky Kaushal Unveils the Chhaava Teaser

Vicky Kaushal ignited the anticipation on Monday by posting the teaser announcement along with an eye-catching movie poster on social media. He and the other main actors in the movie uploaded the teaser on the internet just one hour later. Vicky wrote, “Protector of Swarajya. Defender of Dharma. #Chhaava - An epic saga of a courageous warrior! Teaser out now.”

Early Buzz from Theatrical Release

The Chhaava teaser had already caused a stir in theatres prior to its official internet release because it was affixed to Stree 2 movie prints. Audiences were already excited due to this early exposure, and that excitement only grew on Monday when the teaser was widely released, kicking off a full-scale marketing campaign.

Significance of the Title 'Chhaava'

The title Chhaava holds deep meaning in Marathi, translating to 'cub'—a reference to Sambhaji Maharaj being the brave son of the lion, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire. This metaphor reflects Sambhaji’s courage and his legacy as a warrior who fiercely protected his father’s empire.

Star-Studded Cast and Release Date

Under Maddock Films label, Dinesh Vijan, the producer of Stree 2, is behind Chhaava. The Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman composed the soundtrack for this historical drama. Apart from Vicky Kaushal, the movie also features Rashmika Mandanna, Ashutosh Rana, Suniel Shetty, Divya Dutta, and Akshaye Khanna. December 6 is when Chhaava is scheduled to open in theatres.
