In a shocking incident, Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s residence in Bareilly came under a gunfire attack in the early hours of September 12, around 3:30 to 4:00 AM. A new development in the case has emerged as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally contacted Disha Patani’s father, Jagdish Patani, assuring full security for the actress and her family.
During the conversation, CM Yogi Adityanath expressed deep concern and offered condolences. He took a detailed briefing from Jagdish Patani, who is a retired Circle Officer, about the entire incident. The Chief Minister reassured that the state government stands in full solidarity with the Patani family and emphasized that no lapse in security will be tolerated.
At present, a detailed investigation into the case is underway. Following the gunfire, a post surfaced on social media claiming responsibility by the “Goldy Brar Gang,” but the authenticity of this post has not been confirmed by the authorities.
Shocking Revelations in the FIR
In the FIR filed by Jagdish Patani, he revealed that the incident began when their pet dog suddenly started barking, which woke him up. Upon checking the balcony, he saw two suspicious persons on motorcycles. When he asked the name of one individual, the other allegedly instructed, “Shoot him.” Subsequently, one of the attackers opened fire.
Jagdish Patani recounted that he took cover behind a pillar on the balcony floor to save himself from the bullets. The assailants fired a total of 8 to 10 rounds at the residence.
The FIR also disclosed that the firing incident was not isolated but occurred twice within two consecutive days — first on the morning of September 11 around 4:30 AM, and then again on September 12 around 3:30 AM.

Following this alarming attack, the Uttar Pradesh Police are actively investigating all leads to uncover the motives behind the assault and to identify the perpetrators. A heightened security protocol has been put in place around Disha Patani’s residence, and continuous monitoring by law enforcement is ongoing.
