Covid-19 update: With 44,059 more cases, India’s total tally rise to 91,39,886

India reported 44,059 new Covid-19 infections, taking country’s total cases to 91,39,866. With 511 new deaths, the total death toll mounted to 1,33,738, according to the latest updates released from the Ministry of health and family welfare.

As of now, there are 4,43,486 active cases in the coyntry. With 41,024 more people recovering from the virus in last 24-hour, the total recoveries have crossed 85,62,641. For 16 staright days, India have managed to report below 50,000 cases.

The current recovery rate stands at 93.86 per cent while the fatality toll have rose to 1.46 per cent, the ministry said.

According to Indian Council of Medical Research, a total number of 13,25,82,730 samples have been tested so far with 8,49,596 samples tested on Sunday.

Delhi continued to report high surge in covid cases as it saw 6,746 more infections in last 24 hours. The death toll in the national capital has reached 8,391 with 121 more people dying due to the virus in a span of 24-hour.

*Uttarakhand Governor Baby Rani Maurya has tested positive for the covid-19 infection on Sunday. She took to Twitter to inform that she is asymptomatic and has isolated herself under medical supervision.

The governor has also asked everyone who have come in close proximity with her to get tested for the highly contagious virus.

*DelhiHealth Minister Satyendar Jain Sunday said over 400 ICU beds have been added for Coronavirus patients in the city which continues to witness highest surge in daily cases.

*Himachal Pradesh government will conduct a large-scale state survey between November 25 and December 27 in an attempt to identify the covid-19 patients.

*Telangana reported 602 new Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths and 1,015 recoveries on 22nd November, reported ANI.

* Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet chief minister of several states to discuss the covid-19 vaccine progress in the country. The meeting will also have discussion on vaccine distribution module across the country.

*Canada continued to see a sharp rise of Covid-19 cases, with the country’s total caseload surpassing 330,000.

Meanwhile, the overall number of global coronavirus cases has topped 58.5 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 1.38 million, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
