Dangal fame Suhani Bhatnagar's father opens up about her health conditions after death; here's what he said

Due to her outstanding performance in the film Dangal, which was a biopic of Indian women wrestlers Geeta and Babita Phogat, Suhani Bhatnagar gained recognition in the industry. Suhani Bhatnagar, who passed away on Friday at the age of 19, means that her fans won't have the opportunity to see her in any films going forward. Suhani's father, Sumit Bhatnagar, spoke to the media about his daughter on Saturday, hours after the news of her passing broke. He claimed that Suhani had dermatomyositis, a rare inflammatory illness that results in muscle weakness and skin rashes, according to news agency PTI.

Suhani Bhatnagar was admitted to AIIMS in Delhi and the doctors were doing her treatment. Her father revealed that she got a red mark on her hand but they thought that it can be due to allergy. He said, "She developed a red spot on her hands about two months ago. We thought it was allergy and we consulted with doctors in different hospitals in Faridabad but it couldn't be diagnosed. When her condition started deteriorating, we got her admitted to AIIMS. But there was no improvement and her lungs were damaged due to accumulation of excess fluid."

About Suhani Bhatnagar 

Suhani and her family resided in Faridabad. She had put acting on hold while she finished her education. Her final ceremonies were held on Saturday at Delhi's Ajronda cremation site.
