Darlings: Boycotting celebrities and their films have become a new trend these days. From Laal Singh Chaddha, Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan to Alia Bhatt’s darlings; all these upcoming films have been under the 'Boycott' Radar.
The trend doesn’t end here, now Alia Bhatt has been compared to Amber Heard and is been bashed for promoting violence against men in her upcoming film.

The Reason for this BOYCOTT?

Initially, after the release of the teaser and trailer, people just loved the outcome and really appreciated how creative the makers got with this dark comedy.
Users appreciated the bond and chemistry between the mother-daughter duo in the film ( Played by Shefali Shah and Ali Bhatt)

But soon after the release of the trailer, the viewers are objecting the storyline of the film. Which basically shows, Alia's character beating her husband with a pan, throwing water on his face, hitting him with a stick and making constant plans to not kill him but treat him 'exactly how he treated her. Darlings is basically a story of Revenge. And about Alia’s character just wanting to teach her husband a lesson.

But this did not go down well with a lot of users and they think that this film is glorifying domestic violence against men. Women torturing her husband- Even that’s not COOL.
While some are saying that 'eye for an eye' never wins any cause!
