De De Pyaar De 2 trailer was finally launched on Tuesday (October 14) at a grand event. The film’s cast (Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, Jaaved Jaaferi, Meezaan Jafri, Rakul Preet Singh and Gautami Kapoor) came together to celebrate the return of one of Bollywood’s most-loved rom-coms. But amid the cheers and buzz, everyone had a question – Where is Tabu?
The first De De Pyaar De (2019) was a fun and fresh take on modern love, age gaps, and second chances. The chemistry between Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Rakul Preet Singh made it a massive hit. So when fans didn’t spot Tabu in the new trailer, speculation quickly spread online about whether she’ll appear in the sequel.
Ajay Devgn And Luv Ranjan Talk About Tabu’s Return
At the trailer launch, co-producer Luv Ranjan addressed the big question. He said, “Hopefully, a third part will happen. In the first part, we went to the man’s house. Now, we’ve gone to the girl’s house. If everything goes well, then we’ll also make both families meet.”
Ajay Devgn added with a smile, “Like Luv said, if everything works out very well, then when both the families meet, she’ll be a part of it.” His comment gave fans hope that Tabu might return in De De Pyaar De 3.
Ajay Devgn On Drishyam 3
Ajay also shared an update on another much-awaited project Drishyam 3. Earlier reports said the promo would release on October 2 after CBFC clearance. However, the plan was delayed due to permission issues with the makers of the Malayalam original.
Confirming the news, Ajay said, “It (Drishyam 3) will get launched in December. Once that film is launched, we’ll be able to talk about it.”
What’s In De De Pyaar De 2 Trailer?
The trailer begins with Rakul Preet Singh’s character, Ayesha, telling her parents (played by R Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor) that her boyfriend is older and divorced. Things turn funny when they realise her boyfriend, Ajay’s character Ashish, is almost their age.
What follows is a comedy of chaos, confusion and family drama. Rakul’s parents try to set her up with a younger man (played by Meezaan Jafri), while Ajay’s iconic style adds nostalgia. The trailer even features nods to Phool Aur Kaante and Singham, ending on a hilarious note with Lata Mangeshkar’s “Buddha Mil Gaya” playing in the background.
Backed by T-Series Films and Luv Films, De De Pyaar De 2 promises romance, humour and a dose of madness, just like the original.
