Deepika Padukone birthday: Deepika Padukone was recently seen with Ranveer Singh at Mumbai airport as the two prepared to leave on her birthday trip. On January 5, the actress will turn 37 years old. Deepika made her acting debut in Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om in 2007, alongside Shah Rukh Khan. She got involved in several controversies in her career and currently she is facing backlash for her outfit in Besharam Rang. Besharam Rang controversy

Besharam Rang, a new song by Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone from their upcoming film Pathaan, has created controversy. Madhya Pradesh's home minister, Narottam Mishra, has spoken out against the song. In Indore, members from a Hindu organization group assembled at a traffic crossroads and set fire to effigies of actors Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan. They urged that the film be banned.

The JNU controversy

Padukone joined the JNU students to demonstrate her support for them and to condemn the attack on the JNU students, which drew a lot of media attention. This was the height of the anti-CAA protests at JNU. Aside from visiting the university, the actress was in town to promote her forthcoming film, Chhapaak. Many people complimented her, but others saw it as a publicity gimmick and accused her of being anti-national. NK Sood, a former RAW official, alleged a few months later that Imran Khan's close friend Aneel Mussarat had offered her a Rs 5 crore offer.

Padmaavat controversy

Padmaavat aroused a lot of criticism even before it was released. The Karni Sena was outraged by the film, which was based on the life of Princess Padmini, since they felt it incorrectly depicted their queen. If the film's release was not halted, the Karni Sena threatened to have the actor's nose amputated. The film with the original title Padmavati was finally released under the name Padmaavat after a two-month dispute.

Ram-Leela controversy

The film's initial title, Ram-Leela, was rejected by the audience due to its relationship with the name of the Hindu deity Ram. A FIR filed by the Jalandhar police names Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and filmmaker Sanjay Bhansali. As a result, the film's original title, Ram Leela, was changed to Goliyoon ki Rasleela Ram-Leela.

The Gehraiyaan controversy

Her most recent film sparked criticism due to the actor's attire and intimate moments. The film addressed a wide range of issues, including contentious intimate sequences. Freddy Birdy, an influencer, shared a post that stated, "Newton's Law of Bollywood. As the Gehraiyyan release date approaches, the clothing will become even smaller.  Necklines and hemlines are Gehraiyaan," the caption added. The actor responded to the influencer's comment by writing, "Scientists claim the universe is formed of protons, neutrons, and electrons. They neglected to mention morons."
