The Twitter tussle started when Sadhvi Prachi tweeted a picture of a free screening of ‘The Kerala Story’ in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, she tweeted, “The Kerala Story’ was shown free of cost to daughters in Haridwar.
Soon after, a user took a jibe at Devoleena’s marriage with Shanwaz Shaikh. In response to which she called her husband a true Indian Muslim.
Devoleena wrote, “Arey Khan saab mujhe bulaane ko zaroorat nahi padhi. Main aur mere husband pehle hi dekh kar agaye the The Kerala Story aur bohot hi acchi lagi hum dono ko hi. What is the name of TRUE INDIAN MUSLIM? My husband is like the one who has the courage and the courage to call the wrongdoing wrong.’

Devoleena has supported the film after watching ‘The Kerala Story’. Through her tweet, she expressed her support for the film.
After watching the film, Devoleena reacted to a tweet which contained a statement about a girl who allegedly broke up with her Muslim boyfriend after watching ‘The Kerala Story’. She tweeted, “It’s not always like that. My husband is a Muslim and came with me to watch the movie and he appreciated it. He neither took it as an offense nor he felt it was against his religion. And I feel that’s how every Indian should be like.”
