Triptii Dimri had a stellar 2024 with Bad Newz, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. But it's Dhadak 2 that truly places her in the spotlight. Released on August 1(today), the film is directed by debutant Shazia Iqbal and brings a bold take on caste, identity, and love. Unlike its 2018 namesake, Dhadak 2 is not a sequel but a fresh story with powerful themes and emotional weight.

The film tells the tale of two young lovers from vastly different social backgrounds. Siddhant Chaturvedi plays a low-caste law student, while Triptii Dimri takes on the role of a confident, emotionally intense woman. Their relationship struggles against the rigid rules of society, exposing the harsh realities of caste-based discrimination and family pressure.

Certified U/A by the CBFC, Dhadak 2 runs for 2 hours and 26 minutes. It dives deep into social issues like untouchability and injustice while wrapping them in an emotional love story.
