About Dhadak 2
Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is a spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak, and a Hindi remake of Tamil hit Pariyerum Perumal. It tells the story of Neelesh and Vidhi (two law students in love) who face caste-based bias and social pressures. The film explores themes of love, prejudice, and courage.
Siddhant Chaturvedi described the film as “personal” and praised Triptii Dimri for making the scenes feel real. The movie, backed by Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures, received a U/A certificate after 16 edits, including the removal of caste slurs and religious references.
Dhadak 2 is set to hit theatres worldwide on August 1, 2025
