Dhoom 4: OG John Abraham to reprise his cult classic role in YRF franchise?

Dhoom 4: Dhoom, which released in 2004, is a cult classic. The film’s success and popularity led to two sequels. And now there are reports that Dhoom 4 is in the offing.

The film by Sanjay Gadhvi and Yash Raj Films became a benchmark for action in Bollywood. It had a “likable bad guy” and revolved around a group of bikers who rob banks and escape without being caught, and the police officers’ efforts to catch them.

Social media is rife with reports that John Abraham may reprise his role in Dhoom 4. Dhoom 2 and 3 saw Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan in negative role.

A source claimed it will be no surprise if Yash Raj Films cast him yet again in a negative role for Dhoom 4. There are also reports that John has been having daily meetings at YRF.

Dhoom has achieved a cult following over the years and is considered a classic for several reasons. The film’s unique storyline came as a breath of fresh air for the audience. The film brought the concept of high-speed bike chases, which was a first for Indian cinema. And though John Abraham was relatively unknown till then, people loved him playing a charismatic and stylish villain in Dhoom. Abraham’s performance in the film was highly praised by the audience and critics alike. He portrayed the character with style, charm, and charisma, which made Kabir one of the most memorable villains in Indian cinema. His character’s iconic look, including his long hair, leather jackets, and sunglasses, became a fashion statement among the youth.

Abhishek Bachchan played the role of the dedicated cop who is determined to catch him.
