Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 53: Aditya Dhar’s espionage thriller Dhurandhar continues to shine at the Indian box office, even as it enters its eighth week in theatres. Ahead of its exit, the Ranveer Singh starrer has achieved a historic milestone by officially crossing Rs 1000 crore gross mark domestically.
This makes Dhurandhar the first Indian film in history to reach this milestone through a single language, a feat no other film has managed before.
Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 53
On Day 53, Monday, January 26, 2026, the film saw a slight jump in collections thanks to the Republic Day holiday. Despite competition from the newly released war drama Border 2, Dhurandhar drew audiences, earning an estimated Rs 1.85 cr net on its eighth Monday.
The total India net collection now stands at Rs 835 cr over 53 days. Crossing the Rs 1,000 crore gross mark places Dhurandhar among the country’s big BLOCKBUSTERS like Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion, KGF Chapter 2 and Pushpa 2 The Rule.
What makes this achievement unique is that Dhurandhar achieved this without relying on multi-language dubbed versions, unlike other blockbusters. Its success proves that a strong story and repeat audience engagement can create massive numbers even in a single-language market.

Aditya Dhar Finishes 3-Day Patch Work Shoot For Part 2 In Mumbai
Even as the original continues its theatrical run, work on the sequel is already underway. Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled for a grand release on March 19, 2026. A highlight of the sequel is Arjun Rampal, who is reprising his role as Major Iqbal (the cerebral antagonist behind complex terror attacks in the franchise). His performance in Dhurandhar 2 is expected to be even more intense and layered. The final touches are being added to ensure the sequel lives up to the original’s massive legacy.
Following its record-breaking theatrical run, Dhurandhar is expected to premiere on Netflix from January 30, 2026. The OTT release gives audiences a chance to experience the epic spy saga at home, just weeks before the sequel hits cinemas.
