Dia Mirza, who recently got married to Vaibhav Rekhi in an intimate ceremony, took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy.
In a heartwarming post, she wrote: “Blessed to be…one with Mother Earth…one with the life force that is the beginning of everything…of all stories. Lullabies. Songs. Of new saplings. And the blossoming of hope. Blessed to cradle this purest of all dreams in my womb 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻”
Dia, Vaibhav and Samaira have been on a holiday in the Maldives since the end of March.
The post has since then received more than 4.71 lakh likes. Meanwhile, scores of Dia’s fellow celebrities and fans flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages.
Karisma Kapoor was one of the celebrities to congratulate Dia on the pregnancy announcement. She commented, “Congratulations Diya @diamirzaofficial” while Jacqueline Fernandez also congratulated the couple and wrote, “so happy for you!!!”.
Other celebrities including Malaika Arora, Aditi Rao Hydari, Vikrant Messy and more wished the to-be-mom.
Konkona Sen Sharma wrote, “Oh my!! This is the happiest news!! Congratulations my lovely,” while Jacqueline Fernandez and Divya Khosla Kumar dropped congratulations.
Before Vaibhav, Dia earlier tied the knot with businessman Sahil Sangha, but their marriage could not last long. And the couple got divorced in August 2019.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Dia entered Bollywood with Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra after winning Miss Asia Pacific International 2000. This was the same year when the other two were crown Miss Universe and Miss World respectively.
